Experience Paris Beyond the Eiffel Tower

Bonjour! It’s a known fact that the Eiffel Tower is the heart and soul of Paris, and why wouldn’t it be? It is the tallest architectural structure standing at 324 meters. But this where I am about to show you what Paris is beyond that:

1. Seine River

The Romanesque themed structure architecture of Paris complements the exotic Seine River. The city was built around this river because it was an exclusive mode of transportation and also to carry out commercial transactions. The land and around water bodies in earlier days used to be a sure way to know that this could be a convenient home to someone. Naturally, real estate around here is of prime nature today. You can enjoy restaurants on boats, cafes, and discos or you can also sit on the benches on the banks of the river where you can sit in peace while you sip on signature wines here.

2. Food

Now there’s something you cannot afford to miss at any cost if you are planning to visit Paris. Sure your traditional regular food sounds good, but once you get a taste of this, you will not stop. I wouldn’t want you to miss out on this all-you-need guide to some of the first foods you can try. There is definitely a lot of comfort food here like Macaroons and Eclairs, which brings me to my next number on this must-try list.

3. Romance

If there is one thing that Paris is known for, it is being the most romantic city in the world. The reason stands to be obvious. The tempting food, the rich wine, the Romanesque theme and not to mention, the people. The last one is lesser-known but Parisians can be very flirtatious, charming, and passionate. Not only that, but French was voted the sexiest language in the world. The whole atmosphere gives out a romantic vibe. Le Jules Verne, Le 58 tour Eiffel and Benoit are some of the most romantic restaurants in the city. The Pont Marie Bridge over the Seine River is a fantastic place to steal a kiss, even though it is a little cliche.

4. Fashion

Paris is one of the four fashion capitals of the world! The other three being London, New York, and Milan. Twice a year, a fashion week is conducted. Each year, famous brands like Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, and Celine host their shows at places like the Carrousel du Louvre and the Grand Palais. The French law states that the Fashion week cannot be attended by models of a body mass index size zero. For the ladies, the easiest way for you to blend in with the fashion style of Parisians is to blend into the classic look with a few accessories: handbags, black coats, ballerina flats, black sunglasses, silk neckerchief, loose shirt, long trench coat, and wide collar sweaters. That’s pretty much the essence of it.

5. Outdoors

The romantic energy of Paris can be felt outdoors the most. You will probably come across a lot of couples hanging out in some of these areas. There are too many places to list, but here are some top recommendations:

6. Tuileries Garden

The entry here is free since it is a public park. The idea to roam around here is simple, just walk around. It’s a park after all, but let me guide you through it. You can start with Garnier Opera House. It is known to be the most popular opera in the world. The interior has a grand staircase, the grand foyer, an auditorium, and a restaurant as well. Be sure to try a game of Boules in the park. French love this sport regardless of their age. Also check out the view from the 70 meter high ferries wheel, which is the largest mobile Ferris Wheel in the world.

7. Parc Monceau

This public park is open between 7 am and 10 pm in summers and 7 am and 8 pm in winters. This is a great place to get out for a morning jog or a picnic date. The entry here is free as well. There is a rotunda at the entrance of the park. This is a major inspiration spot for artists and photographers. For many years, this spot has provided us with some great works.

8. Disneyland Park

It is the 13th most visited theme park in the world. Disneyland Paris has actually overtaken the Eiffel Tower as the most popular tourist destination in Europe. It also makes the list of the top 10 theme parks in the world.

The Place De La Concorde is one of the most visited squares in Paris. In its center, there is a 3300-year-old yellow granite Luxor obelisk, which was given by the Egyptian government in the 19th century. The two fountains here symbolize the fountains of Paris today. The best time to visit Paris is between June and August and September and October, which are summer months there.
