Now there is a reason why I am dedicating this article to the youth. Whether it is for a friends group, a young couple, or for a solo trip, I will be helping you get an understanding of what you need to plan your trip around. I am going to be pointing out the best places to hangout in Greece and of course, for clubbing, drinking and the nightlife! Like any other place in the world, there are specific months you can visit Greece in when you will be able to get the most out of it. One is the springtime, which is between April and mid June, and another one is during autumn, which is between September and October. In the spring season, you will get the benefit of a lesser crowd and in the autumn season, you will be able to enjoy the warm seas.
1. MYKONOS
Mykonos is known to have the best clubbing events and nightlife in Greece. From beach bars and beach parties to discos, this is the best place to be at if you are looking to have fun and get completely out of your usual monotonous days. Paradise club in Paradise beach is known to be the best beach club, and is also voted to be the 14th best club in the world! This club has 3 rooms and a swimming pool. The fireworks add to the music played. Another one is the Tropicana beach bar. The party here starts at 4 pm and lasts until midnight, although the bar is open for longer hours. There is also a boat party arranged. The boat carries 250 people and the party goes on for 5 hours. While you are in Mykonos and looking for a place to stop and eat or for shopping, some relatively reasonably priced stuff can be found in the Matogianni Street. There is also Little Venice that is a must visit here. It is called Alefkandra and there is a waterside here.
2. EXPLORING THE ISLAND
In all of Greece, Naoussa and Parikia are the best towns to roam. Naoussa is a fishing village. When you take a look around, you will be able to sense the authenticity this village has kept in spite of the development. You will be able to check out the ruins of a Venitian castle and the colorful boats. Cruising is a popular activity here as well. What better way to explore the island than that? You can find the Archaeological Museum of Paros in this town. There is also the famous church monument of Panagia Ekatontapiliani, which literally translated means “The Church of 100 doors”. This is not especially for young adults to enjoy, but if you are a curious person who loves to explore, this is your place for you to do that.
3. ISLAND HOPPING
This is known to be one of the best things to do in Greece. The idea is that you hop on a ferry and you come across a lot of islands and you watch them pass by, again a great destination for people who love to explore. The best island group for this is the Cycladic island. It is about 3 hours by ferry from Athens. You will be able to change your scenery from islands famous for nightlife, to the best beaches in Greece. You will be able to make stops, but you will be charged more for that. The three best island hopping tours you can choose for the best experience are Crete tours, Santorini tours, and Mykonos tours.
4. SUNBATHING IN CRETE
The sea in Crete is warm in summers with a temperature of 20°C in May which goes up to 27°C in July. The beaches on the north coast are usually warmer. This is also a lot safer because there will be lifeguards here. The temperature in winter falls to 17°C, so you can swim all year round even if you miss the summer. The beaches on the south coast are relatively less crowded. You can relax here on sunbeds and they are available for renting. Two sunbeds and an umbrella costs under €6. High waves can be found on the north coast, while the sea remains calm on the south coast, even though the wind here is extremely strong and sharp, especially in July and August.
5. SANTORINI
Although this is famous among families, this is known to be the beach to party at. The parties are a lot more decent here. You will probably not encounter anything wild here, making it perfect for a family stop. Kumari beach is a popular choice among visitors since it is a lot cheaper and is also one of the best beaches on Santorini. The second recommendation is the Red beach. This is a picturesque beach with red as its dominantly visible color. It is also surrounded by steep red hills. This is a good choice for snorkeling because of the dark blue colour of the water, unique rocks, and it’s marine life. My next recommendation is Perissa beach. The colour of the sand on this beach is black because of the lava remains. The dark blue colour of the crystal clear waters and the black colour of the sand blend to make the perfect scenery for a pleasant day. It’s usually crowded and very well accommodated with amenities like umbrellas, lounging chairs, lifeguards, and showers. If you are looking for some adventure, there’s provision for water sports like wind surfing, parasailing, canoeing, and jet skiing. There’s also a water park with pools and three water slides for all ages. There are tons of places to stop for a bite here or even dine at a restaurant. This beach is for everyone.
